Issued Zones:  Los Angeles, San Bernardino, and Riverside County Mountains Above 6,000 Feet with wintry mix down to 4,500 feet.

Site:  SouthernCaliforniaWeatherForce.com has issued a Winter Weather Advisory effective now through Tuesday night …

Date:  11/2/15 at 8:20pm PT

Forecast: The front is moving through the area tonight and with that will come colder air into the region.  Another impulse dropping down out of the north will reinforce the moisture fields through Tuesday and convective showers and thunderstorms will be possible in the advisory zone.  Within this, hit and miss snow showers at a median snow level of 6,000 feet will be possible with light snow all the way down to 5,000 feet and sleet to 4,500 feet.

The accumulation is not possible for a prediction because of the nature of the system.  This is a convective atmosphere, meaning some areas will see none, some little, and some perhaps more … but one thing is for sure that if thundersnow does form, higher brief periods of snowfall will be possible within them at snow level.

Expecting a drying on Tuesday night to begin …
