[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Issued Zones: San Diego County …
Site: Southern California Weather Force has issued a Special Weather Statement effective now through Sunday …
Date: 9/2/17 at 7:00am PT
Forecast: While some of the Inland Empire, OC/LA areas get their storms this afternoon, San Diego County will wait for the most part till later in the evening/early night hours as the arm-band of Lidia approaches Northern Baja, therefore setting the county under strong lifting ahead of it.
The arm will sweep the area on Sunday, giving the area the upper risk of shower/thunderstorm activity as well. Storm motion will be rather quick so not expecting too much of a flash flood risk.
Gusty east winds will develop on Sunday across the Western half of the county and pull into what will be Tropical Depression Lidia .. so expect some gusty conditions if you are in those areas.
Additional marine weather statements are being issued by me for offshore areas to reflect the wave and wind potential so through Sunday it is NOT advisable to go offshore in a small craft with 6-10 FT swells … Please refer to that later today by checking the SCWF main page.
10 mile rule: These alerts issued on this site means that within your zone and 10 miles from you will see the event forecast for. You may or may not see the event but it means you are in the zone or 10 miles from where someone will.
