Issued Zones: Western half of LA County … Kern, San Luis Obispo, Ventura, and Santa Barbara County …
Site: Southern California Weather Force has issued a Weather Advisory effective tonight through Thursday …
Date: 8/12/20 at 5:35am PT
Forecast: Tropical Moisture from Hurricane ELIDA will stream northward overnight tonight and into Thursday for areas Los Angeles County north and westward mainly. This will bring the chance of elevated convection for the chance of lightning. The low levels will be dry so this lightning during the period will be a ‘dry thunderstorm’ type and produce the risk for further wildfires in the advisory region.
NOTE: I am NOT allowing new sign-ups paying for the SCWF alert system at this time. I am redoing the system over the Summer and offering free service till October 1st. This is because this Summer is either close… or keep open come the next storm season due to a post COVID-19 economy.
