Forecast: An upper level low will move through Northern California, shifting the winds aloft from SSE to SW, which is usually the prime direction to develop storms right along I-15 and into the Las Vegas Metro zones. Instability will not be all that plentiful for large hail ,but a DCAPE value of 1500+ j/kg suggests a higher damaging wind potential with the microbursts from the strongest cells …
