Forecast: An easterly wave moving out of Arizona with storms that hit the other day will move across the watch zone this morning and then again later today.  Thunderstorms are expected to form as a result for the the Las Vegas Metro areas.

Storms in the watch zone will be capable of some hail, but the main concern will be the inverted V profiles on forecast soundings which says we will see 40-50+ mph wind gusts, possibly even higher under the strongest cells.  This will be the most active day in the LV Metro since the monsoon season started.  Landspout tornadoes are also likely … 

A Thunderstorm Watch means that conditions are favorable for thunderstorms to form with hail, gusty winds, and if the wording supports it … funnel clouds / tornado …
