Southern California Weather Force has issued an inland heat alert for the highest temperatures of the summer season thus far, along with zoom-in maps.
Discussion: A ridge of high pressure will develop over the Southern California area. Normally, Southern California Weather Force will wait until Corona, California gets over 100F in order to know what the inland zones from there will do. Corona sits where the sea breeze comes through the 91 freeway out of Orange County, and when it goes over 100F it means that inland will be higher, which constitutes to an official heat alert to be issued.
For now, use the maps here for the official heat alert number for your area. The coast will not be in this, as usually what happens during the summer so enjoy the days at the beach and do not get eaten by sharks.
5. Heat Stroke Possible After 15-20 minutes of exposure with no water.
1. Very little discomfort, however, long periods of exposure could bring heat exhaustion.
