Tornado and Severe Thunderstorm Watch Issued for Inland Southern California; Also Mountain and Deserts

0Shares

Southern California Weather Force has issued a Tornado Watch and Severe Thunderstorm Watch for the following zones:

Zone issued on Tornado Watch: Elsinore Convergence Zone, from Banning, Perris, Hemet, and Lake Elsinore.

Zones issued on Severe Thunderstorm Watch: San Diego, Riverside, San Bernardino and Los Angeles Mountains … Antelope Valley, High Desert Metro, Morongo Basin … Cajon Pass …

Discussion:  Within the ridge of high pressure there is an area of upper divergence, or lift.  This is already providing storms along the San Bernardino Mountain, thanks in result to the Line Fire.  However, this will only increase as the day moves along.  a west to east flow at 30,000 FT will ensure debris clouds will not be a problem for instability.  I have calculated that the Elsinore Convergence Zone will once again ignite between 1pm and 3pm.  This will bring damaging winds and large hail, flooding, and a chance of tornadoes.  Southern California Weather Force will be at the In N Out in Menifee by 1pm and will be live.

This flow and divergence also say that the extent can try the Antelope Valley.  But Hesperia Metro to Victor Valley will be in direct line of this, thus you are in the Severe Thunderstorm Watch.

That will be it …
