Southern California Weather Force has issued the official Enhanced Santa Ana Wind Warning for the zones that usually get the Santa Ana Winds, along with a fire danger risk for Wednesday, November 6th, 2024, into Thursday November 7th, 2024.
As stated last week, Wednesday would be a stronger Santa Ana Wind Event (Claim A Link Below). A system coming into Northeast Arizona will bring upper-level dynamics into the area. These will be dry dynamics, however the upper-level jet coming out of the north will bring the Santa Ana Winds starting Wednesday morning before sunrise and last all day, and into Thursday for some areas as well.
Official Southern California Weather Force models do show the following bullet point summaries.
- High profile vehicle danger at the 210/15 interchange, and we will see stories on tip overs of big rigs based on the level on the model.
- Glendora, Azuza, Covina may have trees down. Most of the time the winds don’t hit there, but they will this time.
- It will be the strongest event so far this season, so as I stated last week, you should have prepared for it.
- It is also my Fire Weather Warning, again, issued last week here at Southern California Weather Force.
- Watching the storm pattern shift to California storms after November 11th.
Use the official Southern California Weather Force models below for the zoom-in in your area, along with the scale provided. Here at Southern California Weather Force, we care nothing about mph, only what affects it can give. This will be considered a Strong Santa Ana Wind Event.
An Enhanced Santa Ana Wind Warning means that extremely damaging winds in the Santa Ana Wind Prone Zones will be likely due to upper-level jet dynamics and is the highest warning issued here at Southern California Weather Force.
