Southern California Weather Force has issued four alerts within the zoom-in maps below. Pay attention to the key and what advisory/warning is what. It has been simplified to issue the alerts within the maps themselves.
Discussion: An inside slider will move through the region on Friday and into Saturday. Rainfall will start as early as later tonight after 9pm for the Kern Valley zones. Due to this being an inside slider, the rain will start Friday morning for the rest of the forecast area. As you can see in the forecast maps, areas nearest the south and west end of the mountains will see the most rain with this system.
Wind seems to be the main issue for the deserts, as always with these systems. Hey, we even have some wind showing up along the Santa Barbara, Ventura, Los Angeles, and Orange County coast due to the strong westerly flow behind the system.
Not much else to talk about with this ‘event’ and it would be considered only a category one out of six on the Southern California Weather Force model.
